Thanks to demi teleportation abilities no one knew that the last people to see Hope alive were Irving and Jude. Instead, Noliidae was accused of Hope’s death by many and a large schism among the races formed. The Arboreals have all but stopped communicating with the other races due to the unjust accusations and violence directed their way. While Jude was the obvious suspect, his lack of any magical abilities quickly and erroneously cleared his name. At the time of Hope’s murder, the Demis were unable to enter the camp and nobody thought that anyone would collude with the Demis.

I really love the simplicity of this page.

No wonder Fae couldn’t sleep earlier.
Amazing awesome news everyone! If you didn’t see the button off to the side here it is again:
I’m so happy to make this announcement. A year ago or so, I decided that the older pages, for lack of a better phrase, sucked. The art wasn’t even my biggest gripe with them, the writing is what really makes the older pages bad. In the beginning I was rushing through things trying to get as much of the plot out of the way as possible as quickly as possible and that rushed quality was especially apparent with the writing. So I rewrote and redrew the prologue and first chapter to try and fix everything I did poorly the first time around. I know that there’s a ton of debate around whether a webcomic should or shouldn’t get redone pages but my philosophy is if it doesn’t interfere with regular updates then it’s all good. I’ve preserved the original prologue pages on the site and you can find links back to them from the new prologue pages. I’ll have the redone 1st chapter up when it gets done, but I have no clue when that will be as the first chapter has 4 times the amount of pages in it as the new prologue.

Fae stopped falling but it’s not over yet.
My friend Jess Boudrie has launched a Kickstarter for Dax a scifi humour webcomic. Please check it out.
In other news, I removed the InkExchange box. Apparently while I was on vacation the exchange box was hacked and was redirecting people too all sorts of sketchy, virus laden sites. While the box has been fixed, I don’t feel comfortable keeping the exchange box up when InkOutbreak hasn’t even announced anything about the problem or what they did to prevent future hacks of the exchange. It also doesn’t sit right with me that I had to find out about the problem from other webcomic authors and not InkOutbreak (who only announced that the banner exchange was offline, being worked on). Even though the banner exchange is by far the largest source of new traffic for Eternity Complex, I value transparency and the safety of my current reader’s computers way more than gaining new readers. And so the banner exchange box is gone. I hope none of you were affected by the hack.
I’m doing another call for things you want to see around here. I’ve got about 2-3 weeks before I go back into school mode and would love to use that time to reward y’all for reading. Last time I received requests for wall papers and a world section for the site. I can always add to those or do something completely new. Please let me know what you would like to see and I’ll try my best to deliver. Also, please keep in mind that the larger the request, the longer it will take for me to fulfill.
If I don’t hear anything back I’m going to pour all of my extra efforts into getting the re-done prologue up. I’m a bit sad that I haven’t been able to get as much progress made as I would have liked on both the re-done prologue and 1st chapter but keeping regular updates going is my first priority.

Fae is still falling through the graves of many memories. Only the most plot relevant stuff is being shown but none of it ends happily.
This past week I was out of town in Wyoming. The landscape there was breathtaking and I wish I could have stayed longer. I saw and did a bunch of great things while out there. The most memorable thing I took part in though was the llama hike. I love animals and so getting to hike with a llama friend was the activity I was looking forward to the most out of everything that was planned. Unfortunately my llama friend had other plans. On the hike back my buddy ran away from me. Llamas are crazy fast runners but they are so awkward looking. Their fur bounces up and down while their body sways back and forth, they look ridiculous while running. Luckily the my no-longer-my-buddy llama decided to camp out near the trail and the owners were able to get the llama back. I felt really bad but there’s not much you can do when a half ton creature decides to bolt. After my llama bolted and I started to feel better about my former buddy dashing, I got to walk a different llama. This new llama and I were able to make it back to the trailer without a problem. I also got to feed and pet the llamas, so I’m happy with the experience. I still feel bad about my llama bolting but everything turned out fine in the end and that’s all that mattered.

Meira and Meiro (+ their family) met a very unfortunate end as young adults. Their family, mostly their parents, will get a good chunk of a chapter’s worth of coverage in the future. The demise of their family has a lot to do with this page.
Edit: Grammar has been fixed.

Irving has always been underestimated and he always uses this fact to his advantage.

His name is Jude. He doesn’t get a lot of screen time so I decided against subtly with the name choice. Jude decided to pretend the question was why because he’s trope aware enough to know not to answer how, even with a non-answer. Also, the answer why is always power, always.
Also, I completely missed that I reached 350 pages completed with the last updated and that the month of July kind of sort of marks Eternity Complex’s 3rd anniversary. I don’t really pay attention to these things and then they sneak up on me. Anyways happy 3rd anniversary! Thanks for reading so far. Hope you enjoy the next 350+ pages! 🙂
Also, also, I think I fixed the comment nesting to be a more reasonable look. Only the first reply to a comment should nest. All other replies should stay at the same level as the first nested comment. Not sure why I didn’t look for the nesting setting previously in the site’s settings but it should be better now.
Edit: Forgot to mention that the Aquatians page has been updated.
Edit #2: Finally got the comments to show up directly on the home page.

Things are about to happen.

This week is the busiest of weeks. It’s my last week of summer class and so I have an exam today and a final Thursday. On top of that fun mess I have to prepare for going out of town and socialize my skittish doggie to the boarding facility. My doggie is the most skittish of doggies and so it is going to be a long week. But on the plus side I got a ton of comic work done this weekend. Comic work is my way of avoiding studying and there was lots of studying to avoid this weekend.

There is a very purposeful discrepancy between what Enya says way back on the the two linked pages and what is pictured on the current page. I quintuple checked that the discrepancy in the math added up correctly before finalizing this scene, other wise I would have accidentally created a big plot hole. Two chapters from now the discrepancy will be explained, right now it is up to interpretation.
